Ralph Deuschle
Ralph at Work

Says Ralph; "Art should please, delight, refresh, entertain and enrich the viewer, maybe even be a bit playful".

Pleasing, teasing, zany geometric fantasies to delight the senses and challenge the eyes best describes Ralph's additions to the world of modern sculpture. A student of the works of Meadmore, Smith, Brancusi, Arp and others of the cubist sculpture period, his works are a 2000's extension of this school of art. Ralph's goal is to do Escher moods in the three dimensions of sculpture. Early work is abstracts in oil and acrylics inspired his work in three dimensions. His work is potentially starting a new school of sculpture best described as post-modern cubic/geometric fantasies.

Ralph stared creating sculpture in Iowa in 1974. Subsequent work in Minnesota led to an early retirement in 1992 and establishment of his current studio in the Sonoran foothills of Scottsdale, Arizona and his full-time pursuit of his passion for sculpture.
